November 2010

This month has been very busy...The kids have been busy with holiday activities at school and we are working hard on finishing our choir cantata. I am the director of the Kidz Choir @ church and have spent a lot of time painting and finishing the final touches for the program in a few weeks..
The chaplaincy process is still at a stand still as those incharge of paperwork are taking forever helping Zach to start the classes in order to get the additional credits he needs for the military. I guess that is a part of life now..."Hurry up and Wait"..

We decided that we would make the best of Thanksgiving vacation this year and took the kids to Pensacola for a few days before heading to Alabama with our families. We stopped at our favorite restaurant Lambert's to catch a roll or two...which the kids all loved...

We went to the Racetrack and rode bumper boats, go-carts, and let the babies ride for the first time...Lexi was scared to death as she sat as close to me as possible, however Zander and Zach was fearless as usual and left us as dust in their tracks..lol
We wanted to do something fun so we planned a day to visit the Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola.. On our way we saw a sign for a playground and stopped to let the kids have fun...It was an awesome place and the kids loved it.. I remember talking with the kids about how fun it might be to live here one day and get to come here often..

Landon wants to be a fighter pilot in the Marines..so this is his first plane to fly...a wooden blue angels model..Who knows maybe one day!!

/>

We arrived at the museum and the kids were so excited to see real planes up flying above the museum..we explained that this base conducted training for pilots and those were students learning how to fly.. Zach and the kids had fun getting in and out of the model airplanes and pretending they were really flying..It was a wonderful day and full of imagination..!!

We visited the rest of the museum and spent a few days at the beach... we talked about how wonderful it would to be stationed there one day with so many wonderful things to do..Who knows ??
