November 2010

This month has been very busy...The kids have been busy with holiday activities at school and we are working hard on finishing our choir cantata. I am the director of the Kidz Choir @ church and have spent a lot of time painting and finishing the final touches for the program in a few weeks..
The chaplaincy process is still at a stand still as those incharge of paperwork are taking forever helping Zach to start the classes in order to get the additional credits he needs for the military. I guess that is a part of life now..."Hurry up and Wait"..

We decided that we would make the best of Thanksgiving vacation this year and took the kids to Pensacola for a few days before heading to Alabama with our families. We stopped at our favorite restaurant Lambert's to catch a roll or two...which the kids all loved...

/>

We went to the Racetrack and rode bumper boats, go-carts, and let the babies ride for the first time...Lexi was scared to death as she sat as close to me as possible, however Zander and Zach was fearless as usual and left us as dust in their tracks..lol
We wanted to do something fun so we planned a day to visit the Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola.. On our way we saw a sign for a playground and stopped to let the kids have fun...It was an awesome place and the kids loved it.. I remember talking with the kids about how fun it might be to live here one day and get to come here often..

/>

Landon wants to be a fighter pilot in the Marines..so this is his first plane to fly...a wooden blue angels model..Who knows maybe one day!!

/>

We arrived at the museum and the kids were so excited to see real planes up flying above the museum..we explained that this base conducted training for pilots and those were students learning how to fly.. Zach and the kids had fun getting in and out of the model airplanes and pretending they were really flying..It was a wonderful day and full of imagination..!!

/>

We visited the rest of the museum and spent a few days at the beach... we talked about how wonderful it would to be stationed there one day with so many wonderful things to do..Who knows ??

October 2010

Wow this month was full of activities, fun, and cooler weather! We started off the month with Kaitlyn's 10th Birthday party... A house full of girls decorating cakes and snacking on icing and tons of sugar made for an exciting yet loud evening.... They sang and danced to a game on the Wii until hours later when children were begging to stay a little longer to play.. Lol... It was a great day and she had her best friend spend the night so she was a happy little girl...

This Sunday morning I went up to teach my Kidz choir class and heard my daughter helping lead worship in Kidz church... All I could think is "Lord is this a preview of what is yet to come"

We had a boys against girls pumpkin carving contest so we each had to come up with an idea and of course the girls wanted princess so we took our time and carved a beautiful princess in our pumpkin .. However daddy and the boys decided to make it a theme adventure and they all became pirates... I just loved it and daddy's imagination with the boys just wish I would have thought about tiaras for the girls.. Oh well there's always next year...

A friend took this pic me and the kids are up in the balloon..

We had fall festival at church with inflatables, hot air balloons, food and carnival games.. There were so many people it was after 2 am before we made it to Steak n shake for the annual after cleanup milkshakes ... And yeah my parents were there and took our babies home around 9 pm so they were not up that late!!

We took the kids around the neighborhood this year and man did they rack up on candy... But they had fun seeing their friends and just being with mommy and daddy so that was worth all the walking we did that night...

The weather is getting cooler and the days are getting shorter but my kids still love to go play at the neighborhood playground so we took a Saturday and did just that... I love this picture. They were watching the ducks go back into the water after Lexi demanded they needed to shew them back into the Lake....

Kate decided to take our photo and she did a great job... So we decided to do some group photos too!!

We decided to take a little trip to visit my parents for a few days while the kids had a fall break from school .. At one point we just sat looking at the lake enjoying Gods beautiful creation... And my sister snapped a photo...

This month was busy with fun and just family time. Still waiting on news from the Navy andnits getting harder to keep it quite because we don't know anything yet... Zach and I sit and try to imagine what God has in store or where we might like to go . Us and the kids even made out our top 10 bases we would like to get stationed at but it's still not a reality yet! God only knows the future but in the mean time we can still dream..! I know it's getting harder on the kids to keep quite about it but we had to start talking more about it because they are just as much a part of it as we are... God doesn't call one without the others so were all in this together as a team.. With daddy our leader chasing after Gods direction for our family.... However the not knowing anything is driving me crazy ..! So for now I am going to sit back not worry and enjoy the next month of finishing the Kidz program at church and be happy and at peace with where God has planted us for this season!!

September Progress

Zach was able to get everything done on his end but due to the paperwork hold up it looks as if the process will take a while longer.. I love our church and where God has placed us but I can't help but feel a pull from somewhere deep inside.. It's different and yet peaceful so I know it must be God stirring something inside me.. We found out that due to some strict requirements from the military Zach is going to have to take a couple more credit hours on top of his degree to meet their standards.. I know he can do it but I know it has to be upsetting to a point because he thought school was over for now... All we can do is pray and let God work things out... Not our will but yours dear Lord..!

The girls club at church had a princess tea party and Kate looked so beautiful....

The twins finally learned how to use their hot-wheels now all four can enjoy sunny days riding their bikes outside..

First Day of School and August 2010 Highlights

This month started off by me finally having time to do a few things like CLEAN HOUSE...I have been so busy with school for the last year that laundry is only done to keep us clothed for the coming week...I was amazed when there were no dirty clothes except the ones we were wearing..I felt I had accomplished a major feat....
Zach graduated from Liberty this month and we were all so proud of him.. Our wonderful church family surprised Zach and the family with a graduation party in which friends and pastors spoke of Zach and his accomplishments..It was so exciting to see the look upon his face when we walked into the room and everyone stood to their feet clapping for him...I believe it was better than if he had walked across the stage in Virgina!
Well the kids started back to school. Kate is in 4th grade this year and Landon is already a big 1st grader.. They love school and are so excited to start back..I pray their love for school continues at least a few more years...:)
The funniest thing this month was the surprise arrival of our newest family member.."Stinkerhead"..One Sunday at lunch Zander called Lexi a Stinkerhead.. She exclaimed that was not her name and we talked about name calling and how we didn't need to do that...Around 2 hours later Zander decided that he would make "Stinkerhead into a real person in the family by placing a pullup on his head and dressing up...He stood at the top of the stairs screaming "I AM STINKERHEAD"... Now it is a funny and we catch them both putting pullups on their heads exclaiming to be the infamous..."STINKERHEAD"...!!

Graduation Day August 2010

Today was an AMAZING day to say the least....Zach received his dipolma in the mail from Liberty University....He is officially a Master's Degree Graduate...due to the timing of Graduation he decided not to take the trip up and walk at Graduation so today was his day to SHINE....we are all so proud of the work he has done to finish so quickly...!!
